Hyconosys Techologies was a startup established by Sarat and run its operation successfully. It was able to provide expert engineering services to key global players in the area of rugged mobile devices. The team also created automation products for select customers.
He was the Director and Head of Software in Sonim Technologies. He created an entire mobile handset development team from a single engineer and was able to deliver the first in-house built, FirstNet ready smart rugged phone separately customized for multiple North American operators within three years of inception of the team. He was also played key roles during the company's entry into the world of stock-products for major NA operators, a decade ago.
During a brief stint in Beceem(Later Broadcom), he created the multi-processor platform for its LTE modem solution.
He started as a software engineer in Sasken (Silicon Automation Systems at the time), with Nortel EPABX switches, later moving towards VoIP core protocols. It was here he began his career in mobile communication, as part of WCDMA protocol stack development and leading its customisation on Intel mobile platform. Prior to taking retirement from the IT industry, during his 30+ year tenure in the industry, Jagan played various leadership roles as Director of Itron, Vice President of Unbiz Software Solutions, Vice President of Sonim Technologies and Test Group Head of Wipro Infotech.
In his last position as Director at Itron, he played a key role in starting the Itron's Bangalore development centre and growing the same to 500 member team. As a part of this, he was responsible for building the product competence and transitioning the ownership of 20+ legacy Itron products.
As Vice President of Sonim Technologies, he played key roles in setting up the engineering operations of Sonim Technologies in Bangalore, commercialization of Sonim’s Push-To-Talk solution and launching of three models of ruggedized mobile phones. His transition to Sonim Technologies was through the acquisition of Synergy Infotech Pvt. Ltd by Sonim Technologies. Jagan was a co-founder of Synergy Infotech and was heading the enterprise business applications division before the acquisition. Jagan was responsible for setting up the Test Engineering Practice at Wipro Infotech in the role of Test Group Head.
At Unibiz Software Solutions, he was responsible for building a vertical ERP from scratch which has been in use for over two decades by the leaders of the industry.
